Spring Project for Kids: Bird Feeder

Last time I was home, my sister had a craft planned for my niece and nephew: homemade bird feeders.  It was very simple, part delicious, and quick and easy for the kids. G and O are only 1 and 2 years old so it was very easy to catch their attention and was over before they could be distracted by other things.

All you need is:

Ribbon
Hole Punch
A cardboard toilet paper roll (or paper towel for a bigger size)
Peanut Butter
Bird Seed

FIRST: Hole punch two holes at the top of the roll on opposite sides and string your favorite color ribbon through so you can hang your new bird feeder later!

SECOND: Smother peanut butter all over the roll

THIRD:
Roll your roll (ha!) in the bird seed

AND WA LA!
WARNING: Swiss Cake Rolls may be necessary to complete this craft!

Liv thought it was a purse!
