Sock Ballerina Bun

Buns of all varieties have been everywhere lately, and I wish my thin hair was capable of recreating ALL of the looks - but I've learned it doesn't really want to recreate any of them.  I tried on multiple nights to make something and really just hoped to pull something out of thin air but it never happened.  I don't know what took me so long to finally just google it but I did - and I was surprised there wasn't more results but I found one solution that worked perfectly: using a sock. Now, I found two methodologies around this one. The most common  solution is to roll your hair around the sock and then roll it towards your head, and the other is to wrap your hair around the sock at the base of your pony. The second technique is what I did to my hair in the pictures below. If you have normal hair (lucky you) you can check out The Beauty Department for fun bun tutorials - among a lot of other hair tutorials.

*Note Oribe Products were used in the making of this bun - read my Oribe rave, here!

I used the second technique of putting the sock at the base of my pony tail and then wrapping my hair around it. I like that you can make it look a little "messier".

Here is the most common technique taken from the blog "Style and a little bit more". I'm going to try this one out next!
