Of course as all the rooms fall together in a new house, you quickly find things you rushed to pick too soon, you may not like, or something in one room might look better in another. Luckily, things that I want to replace have already been claimed to a new home, or will be placed in a different spot throughout the house. I'm making some small bedroom updates this weekend, so you can find me Saturday at BBB, Ikea, Target, and West Elm. Below are some key pieces I have picked out.
1. New White Panels - Like these from Bed Bath and Beyond (our silver/gray blend in too much with the walls and do not block out the sun well enough - our room is on the side where the sun comes up, ugh!)
2. Smaller table lamps for by the bed - ours are too large for a bed that is low to the ground, but they will go great in the office once we have a guest day bed!
IDEAS: These or These from Ikea
3. New ceiling light (currently have a hideous round sconce). I've been discussing options with my aunt who works for a lighting company and I really like the idea of a black chandelier! (image via Pinterest from here)
4. I've been in search of a faux fur throw for the bed for months - and I always had my eye set on this one from Restoration Hardware but couldn't chalk up the gut to buy it full price. I happened to check the other day and it was finally on clearance!
