DIY Bedroom Painting

I saw a painting similar to this on Pinterest (you'll see it on "Bedroom" board), and since I'm currently obsessed with stripes, I thought it would be a great piece for above our bed. I had originially put up these photos, remember? But, our rooms are pretty large with high ceilings so I felt like it needed a statement piece. After I finished this painting, and hung it up I realized it need some warmer touches on the white sections. I took it down and added some touches of brown. It blended a lot better with our bed and dark espresso furniture. I didn't make the lines even and straight like my inspiration one on Pinterest but this one kind of looks like a Missoni design on canvas. Using painter's tape I created a mishaped zig zag and followed the pattern all the way up. I added some touches of gray and used a painter's knife so lay white down in certain spots for texture!
